A nice surprise

This little thing climbed onto my hand while I was picking the ripe tomatoes from my two plants before they fall. I’m doing my best, and giving them away but can’t quite eat them fast enough. Anyhow, I didn’t have my phone nearby to take a photo while it was on my hand, which would have been better. Here it is on the old plastic table where I do gardening jobs. I think it’s very cute, and it seems like it’s looking at me, but that might be whimsical.
I was at Fareshare in the morning, which was lovely. I was taking requests for the warehouse music so we had an excellent eclectic mix - Abbey Road, then Linkin Park, a playlist of Ethiopian jazz, then Ezra Collective. All really enjoyable. It was 33c today. I walked back in the sun rather than sit in a bus which is like a greenhouse. A difficult choice.I made the mistake of reading the news in the evening, horrified by the number of wild fires happening now all over Europe.
