Deliberately Overgrown
A return visit to Abergavenny this morning to visit the museum, great little museum. There was one surprise - they had an exhibition about the cost (human and environmental) of fashion. Within that was a map of the UK with the historical centres for trades associated with the fashion industry.
No 1 was straw plait from South Bedfordshire, No 1 was Luton for straw hats and bonnets and No3 was North Bedfordshire for lace. Not what I expected to find in a museum in Abergavenny.
After that it was a walkalong the Abergavenny and Brecon Canal, starting in Llangattock, whose church have won awards for their overgrown areas of their graveyard - for encouraging wildlife.
