I'll be sittin' when the evenin' come
The water was flat calm tonight as I made my way home from the hairdresser.
I had been waiting for 10 days for this appointment, My roots were showing and I don't really like using the temporary spray, so bouncy hair it has been all week, hopin that the bouncy curls hide the grey.
I walked in, and my hairdresser looked at me and said, "I don't have you booked in Helen". .....
My face must have fell, because she said, "it's okay we can squeeze you in". Pauline did my hair for my wedding I thnk she can read my face very well.
I was delighted. I don't know how I mixed it up. It was on my calendar and everything, but i was so focussed on it being today .
So Yvonne coloured me roots, and Pauline thinned it out a bit.
I was happy.
And as I said as I came home the water was beautifully flat calm. After Dinner Tooli and I took off to go and watch the sunset, which we missed by 15 minutes.... When did it get so early again?
We looked at the lack of sunset and drove to the south beach. We walked up the banking, and sat and watched a family of holiday makers shoot golf balls off the top of the banking to the water. I HOPE they were hitting the water, some of their shots looked decidedly short, and there is a path underneath. I really hope they were keeping an eye out for passerbys, more than they were keeping their eyes on their snappy dogs, who both ran off and attacked a doggo coming up the banking with their master.
It took two owners to pull the dogs back. It could have gotten very nasty. The wee Goldenoodle looked very distressed, as did his owner.
After the banking we spent a good half an hour at the harbour watching the fishing boats come in, and the seals and gulls going demented trying to be first for the gutting.
Lovely Night. Himself had just been about to send out the search party when we turned up back hom.
