Corrosion

Went to the beach this morning. At one point we had to remove shoes and socks and wade through the water around a little headland to continue along the beach. As I was in the very shallow water my foot hit something sticking up from the sand. To my considerable surprise it was an iPhone inside a case. So I picked it up in the hope that I’d be able to charge it, get the emergency contact details and return it to its owner. But once I got it home and out of the case it was obvious that it had been in the sea for quite some time - long enough for the phone to break open along one side. I was able to pull it open and this is a photo of the internals. Safe to say that it’s beyond repair.
