RERF

Since moving to East Leeds, I've driven past this building several times and found the shrubbery growing along the wall to be very interesting and surprisingly aesthetically pleasing for a building on an industrial estate. I wanted to blip it for a while and finally swung by on my way home from work this afternoon.

I looked it up yesterday in preparation, as I had no clue what the building actually was. I found out that it is the Recycling and Energy Recovery Facility (RERF). Here, they manage to separate any recyclable items that people have put in their general waste bins, as well as use some of the actual waste to create energy for thousands of homes in Leeds and reducing landfill. So now I like the building even more!

Speaking of waste, the junction near work is still closed unfortunately. I don't mind as there's space for me to park on the main road, especially with very little traffic now using that round currently. And it's nice to have the little extra walk whilst the weather is nice.
