Hedgehog Rescue

A busy day of making and then it was down to The Knot in West Linton to see what needs restocking. En route from there to Whitmuir, a wee hedgehog was crawling across the road and collapsed on the other side.

It was pretty hot and was clearly dehydrated (and would have got squashed if I'd left it where it was) so I scooped it up and took it over to Rona at Quercus. We got it some shade and water and then called a friend who looks after rescued wild animals. It had perked up quite a bit by the time I left to head into Edinburgh. I've just heard she now has it overnight until it will be collected tomorrow but doing well and happily scoffed some cat food.

A night in town catching up with an old school friend from Devon who has now moved to Perth. Was lovely to see her but boy was town horribly hot and busy. 

Lovely to see blipper @livresse on the bus home though. Straight to bed after all this stimulation.
