As ever it was a busy day at the office. I had a good catch up with my temporary boss. We were colleagues many years ago, so good that we have some common ground. Her poor dad had an accident yesterday, when a big tree branch fell in him. He’s got minor injuries, but us fine. He was lucky.

TT met me after work. We walked to a hostelry in the Southside, where we met up with a group of TT’s former colleagues. We had a quick drink before moving on to a nearby Indian restaurant, where we had a live evening over lovely food. I knew quite a number of his colleagues, but it was lovely to meet others, who I only know by name. One of his closest colleagues had organised this. He said a few words, and got very emotional, so it was cut short. I was very pleased when someone offered us a lift home. It was such a treat, as I was expecting to catch the bus.

I passed this original looking doorway at lunchtime. I think it needs some TLC.
