Living my dream

By Mima

Another lazy one

This was the view from the guest deck about an hour ago. I sat there most of the afternoon again, reading a book and enjoying the sun.

I think I have said before that this is my favourite view from Chez M&B. A friend recently suggested that that being the case, why don't I move the guest cabin to the other side of the lawn, and have the replacement kitchen / bathroom cabin constructed in its place. Initially I dismissed the idea, but now having had time to mull it over, I think he's right.

It will actually make the build a whole lot easier because access is much better, and water and electricity lines already run directly past the guest cabin, thus saving a lot of trenches. It was a very satisfactory outcome of an afternoon in the sun. At least my brain was active.

And at last my appetite is returning, which is the first sign that my system is getting back to normal. I know from bitter experience though that I must stick to the boring food for at least another day - and more sensibly two days.

However I have eaten a little more today and my energy levels have allowed me to do a bit more. Thank goodness. Not that 'more' was much.

I pumped up the flat wheelbarrow tyre. I walked a little further than recently with Beanio (much to her delight). I watered various plants in the tunnel house. And I baked a sourdough for G and popped up the road to deliver it. I was due to be gardening with her today, so we sat and chatted for 20 minutes: there seemed to be heaps to catch up on.

A better day :-) Onwards and upwards now.
