Choir
Another scorching day - but very pleasant. I had a long walk with Django in the morning but had to retreat to the forest as he really doesn't like the heat.
In the afternoon I went to Edinburgh, checked out the Futures Institute where the Book Festival is now located and spent some time in their bookshop - which, I guess, is okay but nowhere near as good as in Charlotte square where they had space for two bookshops, one for adults and one for children and young adults, each being as big and probably better stocked than the current one. I still managed to part with some money..
Then I went to Blackwell's where I made another purchase on my way to the Dynamic Earth, my aim for the day. An ex-colleague of mine sings with Pitchcraft - an a cappella choir and was performing at the Dynamic Earth as part of the Fringe, so with another three ex-colleagues, we decided to go and see her. They were really good and it was good to see my ex-collegues.
The evening was really pleasant when we left and made me think of the evenings in France, when the temperature is at last good enough to be outside.
Good to bump into @NadinePierce on the bus home.
