Lunch

Another hot day with up to 35°C and more humidity than yesterday. I didn’t manage to do much except for picking the last mirabelle plums in the morning and finishing a job I had started weeks ago: Decluttering my camera storage and deleting more than 3,000 pictures that I won’t need anymore (duplicates, unimportant ones, pictures only taken for a blip like today’s, or simply not very good ones). 

This will actually be good (or just less harmful) for the climate. All the photos on our phones and many other devices don’t only get stored on the phone or tablet itself, but also in the „cloud“, i.e. on servers and in huge data centres. They gobble up enormous amounts of energy, which we usually aren‘t aware of. So I decided that it was time to reduce my personal CO2-footprint as much as possible.
