Fuchsia microphylla
It's been another hot day. We did some reorganising around the small pond, where there had been some subsidence. And planted up several things - a hydrangea that has been sitting in a pot awaiting a decision on where we would put it, and the new plants that we bought yesterday - which included some new ferns for alongside the ditch.
I'm very pleased to see that we have some baby teasel (growing from seed scattered earlier this year) there.
This tiny fuchsia is another of our well travelled plants. Bought in Cornwall, at the Lost Gardens of Heligan, it lived in Norfolk for many years. It then had a brief sojourn in Scotland, in Edinburgh and Tain.
It was one of the plants we fetched from Tain, along with the recently featured cycad, in August 2023.
It continues to thrive on our patio, though it was being squashed by a self-seeded purple toadflax that I removed today.
