Gliding Serenely
Early Thursday morning: The Current Mrs Creel waved goodbye on her way to her piano lesson. My s-i-l waved goodbye on her way to work. The four lassies fae Aberdeenshire waved goodbye after their Orcadia sojourn* I gently removed my ear defenders and withdrew the cork sensuously. I rested then checked the pressure on the boiler and examined an external discharge pipe, it will need further investigation. I put two loads of washing out to dry and washed the dishes. It was too bonny a day not to walk up to the Kirk for the weekly paper. However I arrived too late for a briefing of any kind. I walked home; the minister’s wife slowed down and offered me a lift, I demurred as I wasn’t in he mood to be meddled with. Arriving back at HQ I weeded and pulled together some documents for the pending Hoy Kirk AGM and the potential power grab. As the afternoon progressed the haar crept along the Hoy Sound, around Graemsay, with the vessel slipping into it. Rejoice for Pat Metheny / Jack de Johnette and Dave Holland are all still alive.
*One good thing they did last night was to return from deepest Dounby with plenty of stout for me.
