Emerald

Very unexpected as I've never seen a willow emerald at the canal here in Tewkesbury, ever ... Had I not seen it land it was so well camouflaged that I could have, would have missed it completely. 

There is nothing left now water wise in the canal basin and what water there is, is in tiny pools and this was where I was sat on the edge of. Every water bird apart from a solitary moorhen has flown to pastures/waters  new
