Taking the Air

After the exertions of yesterday , Rebecca drove over to me the we went to Saltburn. Lovely drive through NorthYorkshire, good to see all the grain fields fully harvested and stacked ready for storing.
Fabulous air conditioning In Rebecca’s car, much better than mine l had forgotten how hot it was outside.
A bit overcast when we arrived  but as  we went onto the beach where dogs are allowed the sun broke through. Much more pleasant than at home because there was a light breeze. We walked to Marske and back , we had earned  the picnic lunch we had brought with us, sitting on a bench overlooking the sea.
We had a further circular stroll into the town, toying with the idea of having a coffee but decided against it and got two 99s when we got back to the front. They were so good l went back to the ice cream van to tell the vendor how much we had enjoyed them.
Smooth journey home, it’s been a lovely day.
