The Common; 15.17

I watched a programme on BBC  iPlayer a few days ago about the life and work of Monet.  One of the contributors made a point which struck a chord with me.  They were talking about about the series of paintings that Monet made of his waterlilies at Giverney;

“By painting the same subject over and over ………. we don’t get distracted by looking at the detail of the subject - we’re really focussing on the light”

Perhaps that’s why I keep coming back to the same spot for my Common blips.  It’s the light.
