Rescue service

Had a lovely day canoeing down the Wye from Ross to Symonds Yat. In addition to enjoying our paddle we also provided rescue services! We past a couple who had capsized and claimed they were ok. Not long after we came across a paddle floating off in its own. We picked it up and paddled back upriver towards them. Couldn’t get all the way due to low water but we were able to pull over quite close. C waded across to return the paddle and whilst he was there also emptied the water out of their boat for them. They were adamant they would be ok so we left them and went on our way….. despite us taking a couple of long stops we never saw them again!
