Isle of May

Today I had a fantastic trip to the Isle of May, 10 miles out from North Berwick and the conditions were ideal.

A thrilling trip on the rib, with a stop at the Bass Rock to see the gannets up close then 3 hours on the Isle of May.

So many stories on this Island which has been inhabited by Monks, pilgrims, lighthouse keepers , soldiers and conservationists amongst others.

Even though all 52,000 puffins had up and left on their migration at this time of year there were other seabirds, many seals and it was truly a fantastic day out!
