delivery
Trip to Virchow Campus to do some cabling of the new storage nodes. We didn't mess it up this time and it worked straight away. It's still ridiculous that the shortest length of cable we can get is 10m.
I used the opportunity to walk along the canal along the Westhafen. The grain store (see extra) takes raw coffee beans these days. So presumably the container being unloaded is a delivery of new beans, the lorry on the right is taking the beans to one of the roasting places. Unfortunately (maybe a good thing) the raw coffee beans don't smell.
Our intern presented what he's been up to so far. All good stuff. We got a tour of the genomics lab where all the gene sequencing is done. It is quite impressive, although the physics instruments are more impressive. The sequencers looks more like a posh vending machine.
Scorching hot outside, beer after work.
