Dangling fruit

I drive past this tree 2 or 3 times a week and always wonder about the large dangling fruit, each around 30 cm long. Today I stopped to explore and photograph. I read that it's Kigali africana or African Sausage Tree. Wikipedia warns that the flesh of the fruit is poisonous to humans but adds that the seeds may be roasted and eaten safely. I think I'll just admire it from a distance.
