Flicker fun

On Sunday I was thinking that the house wrens must be already gone for the year but then came home to find that at least 2 families had taken over the yard - they must have just fledged as they were gone the next morning. Then the other day I stopped at Camp Olympic - I had low expectations but found 2 Eastern Kingbirds out with their new family. Today I stopped there again and the baby kingbirds were taking flights around the field but still being watched over by their parents. Then I came across these Flickers who seemed to be having a lot of fun chasing each other around. There was a 3rd as well, but he was always just out of range (trouble sticking his landings) for a group shot.
As I was leaving I was happy to see a young bluebird - in extras and worth the heatstroke.
