Visited S and Indy for coffee, catch up, doggie cuddles and a friends listening. I’m utterly sad and shocked that the company Private Midwives that I work for has applied for insolvency and it’s gone. Very fast and we never saw that one coming . Insurance is through the roof and less women can afford the services with the cost of living crisis :0(
They were the best health care provider I ever worked for, wonderful women and so progressive, kind and supportive to their staff. It’s devastating news to a lot of women , midwives, families. Ireland is going backwards in its maternity care choices .
And on a lighter note my lovely brother arranged a meet up at the pub and brought my ‘best friend’ from senior school who I haven’t seen since I was 16 ! There was a lot of talk and laughing, with dusty memories of school and dancing . To be continued .
