House for an Art Lover…

….it said much about the man that friends and former neighbours travelled from the US, Europe, Isle of Skye and even St Boswells to celebrate the life of Des Smith.

With Des passing away at home in the US, his parents, brothers, sister and extended family gathered in Glasgow to remember him. Neil, Des’s twin brother, was Edinburgh Fringe Show worthy with his honest, funny and achingly sad oration.

We also spent a lovely hour or so with Karren (in the image with mum). She was our neighbour for twelve years and now lives in Skye. She’s a sailing nut and is planning to circumnavigate the globe with her husband, starting next year.

To bed feeling I should love and laugh more and feel less angry about missing legs for our sitting room chair.
