South Island Robin

We came across this friendly Robin on our walk through to the Moira Arch Gate in Karamea. He was very difficult to photograph because he kept coming too close to us. At one point The Mistress had to warn Dinny not to step back or she'd step right on him!

Friendly and not scared of humans at all.

After the Moira Arch, we headed up the Oparara Arch track. We found the very rare Blue Duck (whio) and managed to get two decent images of those as well. Great day - great scenery - Both the Mistress and I want to go back :)

I should mention the meeting of strange men on the track and an act of piggybacking for a challenge - but the Mistress has just gone Shush!
