Going, gone
This morning we had designated for scything our local wildflower meadow.
The forecast was for another hot day so Martin and Caroline started scything at 9am with me raking up, later joined by Christine. By 11.30am the job was pretty much complete. We have a huge pile of the arisings ( shown with me for scale!). There is one clump of wild Marjorie left in the meadow as it is so beneficial to insects. Otherwise, all the other plants have flowered and dropped their seeds and needed to be cut down and removed to reduce the fertility of the meadow.
