Homeward bound

We were eastering home rather than westering this afternoon. Leaving Belfast around noon, we motored down the channel that the large ships use to travel in and out of Belfast harbour. On our way out we crossed paths with la datcha , a very futuristic looking ‘superyacht’. It seems to be owned by a Russian oligarch, but obviously not one who has had his assets impounded!

It was very lumpy with a huge swell when we got near Bangor, the bay was really unpleasant to travel through! I couldn’t attach ropes or get the fenders over until we’d reached the relative calm of the inner harbour.

It’s good to be home. :-)
