Moving Morning

A little phone snap taken through the train window this morning. I loved the wispy clouds and the mist hanging in the river valley. The mornings in September always bring glorious light - this is just a sneak preview of September glories.

Very productive day today - I managed to finish the creating stage of a work project - now just to evaluate, test with a couple of others, and it can go live!

Unfortunately the space at work was not great. We work in an open-plan office where you have to book desks in order to sit and work. Areas of the building are designated for various teams so you are meant to sit with your team, however on busy days people just randomly show up and sit in your area. We have to then ask them to leave as our desks are usually always fully booked (as for every 10 people there are only 6 desks)

Today there were a small group of noisy interlopers - our work is quiet and focused so everyone was glaring at them for the entire day. They were also fairly rude when sitting in our area- they just showed up and didn’t ask what had already been booked - not the done thing at all.

Some of the work we do is very sensitive in nature and can’t be shared, even internally, so having newcomers means we can’t have conversations about the work we are doing, which is an added frustration!

Oh well. The journey home was pleasant, the bins got collected, the bills have been paid, and it’s the weekend very soon - can’t come soon enough!
