Rose Arbours

I blipped these rose arbours in Feb 24 so of course they look a little different 18 months on, but I noticed that the top beams have been removed. They have rotted - as timber does - and deemed unsafe.

Not any evidence that they will be replaced and actually I think they look alright as they now are. Anyway, this first part of the lower path gardens is always well maintained and still a very pleasant spot to sit.

Not that I actually sat there, I passed through on the evening dog walk.

Patient update - first 24 hours at home completed ok. A long night as I was listening out for the tip tap of the walking frame he is using to get about, but I’m confident he can manoeuvre around to the bathroom and back now; pain meds are being administered on a regular basis; exercises underway. A couple more nights will help get into routine but so far so good. Thanks for all the good wishes being sent his way.
