Verbascum (sorry, l thought this was a Hollyhock)

l was rather taken by this plant valiantly flowering in the hot, hot sun and certainly not watered.
It really is too hot to do much,  l find l am becoming quite lethargic, l can see all sorts of things l would like to do and see but cannot pick up any enthusiasm to follow through.  I did stew two bags of cooking apples yesterday before going out for an early supper with son C who was up in town but that was my lot.
