Flower Friday - Moth Orchid

Although I’m generally quite good at caring for houseplants - I kept a Sweetheart Vine alive for 36 years until it perished, forcibly unattended, in my flat during the 2020 lockdown - the Orchid is one which has always beaten me. I’ve carefully followed all the instructions, hints and tips from websites and friends, but a sad procession of beautiful Orchid plants have entered my home only to die despite my attentions.

And so I now admire their gorgeous flowers only in florists and supermarkets, and resist any temptation to take them home to Orchid Death Row.
