Viv

Spotted at today's National League match between Rochdale and Altrincham, Viv Anderson, presumably scouting for another team in the league.

Instantly recognisable to me, as a childhood hero of mine. To be different and not to just be another Man Utd fan as a 9 year old I picked Forest as a team to follow. Probably because I found Brian Clough funny, but also becuase as new neighbour was from Nottingham.

I timed it right as 2 European Cups Immediately arrived, with that team of anti-heros, a team now that would never ever exist.

Viv was part of both, and had 10 years at Forest in total. His other clubs included Arsenal, Manchester UTD and Sheffield Wednesday.

He was also the first black player to represent England. Yet here we are in 2025 with issues at Anfield last night. Knuckledraggers always be the same.

Had a quick chat and shook his hand, looks great for 69!
