One of those days

Chester PRIDE

A really lovely time was had by all (myself, RM and RM's daughter - aka the Vet Student which for brevity we'll shorten to The VS) at Chester Pride.  It was the VS's first pride so that was extra lovely that she wanted to come with us olds.  A wonderful community focused event where parts of the parade route were so packed with people cheering - it was quite emotional.  And then of course I bumped into someone I work with because the queer world is not so big as all that!

We walked the parade just behind this dog the entire way, so it seems fitting he gets to be the main.  A few of my other favourite shots in extras, of course with the obligatory Drag Queen shot... today it's Brenda LaBeau, one of our fab Liverpool queens who had travelled down to Chester to entertain the masses.  And she really did have us all up and dancing in a very hot and sticky tent.  It was so hot the balloons in the balloon arch were bursting of their own accord.

I appreciate I may now have to review my earlier statement which said I don't spend that much time in the company of Drag Queens because my Blip history for the last few weeks suggests otherwise... I don't think I usually have 4 drag queen related events within a (non-Pride) month... but I guess we'll see!
