Emotional Day
Two years to the day since we lost our precious Mom. I remembered her in the best way I could, by blasting out Take That songs all morning, hearing her singing voice in my mind and going through a rollercoaster of smiling and sobbing.
At lunchtime I headed out to pay my respects to Brum’s own Ozzy Osbourne, how incredible that his cortege should pass by the end of my road. And it was deeply moving, especially with the personal emotions of the day. Masses of people turned out for him, his band’s music blasting out from every bar day to night. Went out for a lovely lunch and a drink to Mom with Annie. And all day I thought of my poor Papa having a rubbish long day in a hospital.
I returned to get a closer look at the memorial at 9.30pm, clearing my head from a strange old day and the Sabbath fans were still there drinking to Ozzy! He made an impact far and wide but certainly on this city. And my Mom, well she’s just ace and I miss her so much.
