Leaves starting to turn.

Back Blip
I fell a little awkwardly on to my left foot this morning, leading to a strained foot/ankle. Fortunately, it is still weight bearing, so should only require Ibuprofen for the pain. Not good as we are looking after youngest granddaughter this morning. She arrives about 10am. She has been looked after for the first 12 months of her life by her parents. While mum has gone back to work for just over a week now, but granddaughter isn't yet used to be looked after by anyone else. The parents escape, and there is some crying to deal with. Fortunately it is nearly nap time. Partner and I grab the buggey, and we go for a slow walk around the park. Left foot is bearing up well. In one corner I spot one of the larger trees is also starting to show autumn colours. A symptom of the very dry and warm summer we have experienced this year. Granddaughter is asleep. We speak to a few people in the park, then head home.

We manage to have morning coffee outside in peace and quiet. Granddaughter wakes up, and is quiet for a while, espcially as there are wee snacks and water available. She does cry for a bit, so I take her inside to entertain her for a while, and she settles down. She does cry for a bit when parents return, but she is back to her normal self in no time. Especially at lunchtime as she loves my partner's soup, and scoffs it down in double quick time.

After lunch, a wee visit to the play park so granddaughter can play on the swings and try the slide with assistance from dad. Then home for coffee and cake to end the afternoon.

Ibuprofen working very well.
