Resting

My journey today went without a hitch - I left Dumfries just before 9 on the Glasgow bus, just time to visit the Ladies and I was on a Flixbus to Dundee. After stretching my legs for half an hour or so, I caught another bus to St Andrews and arrived at my accommodation at 2.30.

I am staying on the university campus in a student room (we never had double beds or en suite bathrooms in my day).

I am very impressed with St Andrews, which feels like Oxford- by-the-sea with a side of golf. Lots of Americans, lots of money, lots of sunshine, too. Here I am taking the weight off my feet beneath the castle.

I am going to have an early night, after some carb loading :-)
