Better Late

..than no blip! 

By the time I thought about getting a blip, it was well into the evening. I thought maybe a water lily? No such luck. They were closed for the night! But I took a photo anyway! A closer look (extra) showed that I was not the only one who came knocking after hours! 

It was a weird day. I didn't feel all that great so didn't accomplish much. My daughter and SIL came for the afternoon to complete some tasks and figure out how to fix the myriad of little things that go wrong at a cottage. 

As well, they had arranged with the contractor/builder we are hiring to do some work on the cottage to meet us here in the afternoon to confirm final measurements for materials that we need to order. The original cottage was built in the 1950's and it is time for some major repairs and renovations. It will be a big disruption to our cottage visits in the fall, but these things have to be done.  

After taking it easy all day, I was up for a swim this evening, a little reading and some TV time to get caught up on the Trump-Putin Summit before bed. Yikes..Not the best thing to do before retiring....I will refrain from further comment! 

My daughter and SIL retired to their boat in town and will head home from there tomorrow morning. My sister is planning to join me on Sunday for a couple of days before I head home on Wednesday. My short stay here at the cottage is just flying by!
