The Cockermouth Ukuleles giving it what for…
… at the Lortonfest held at the Wheatsheaf pub in Lorton. A great sound, very entertaining, lots of singalongs and they were having fun.
Much going on at Lortonfest last night, today and tomorrow. We were only able to see the Uke band todayas we had things to do in the afternoon.
Although the band is a closed group there are a couple of other Uke clubs based around Cockermouth. One is a U3A group. It seems they all start up again next month. Something to look forward to.
Into Cockermouth this afternoon. Susan to shop for a birthday present and browse the shops which she enjoyed. I did similar spending some time in the New Bookshop. We met at the Fika cafe for a coffee at the end of the afternoon. Good coffee but very, very, very expensive.
On the road tomorrow back down to Kent for a couple of weeks, getting more stuff sorted. Travelling by car this time.
The weather has been superb today and seems set fair for a few days here. Much cooler in Kent we understand (and hope)
Thanks for yesterday’s observations about the similarities with my brother. He often gets mistaken for me which is quite galling for him as I’m 4 years older
