More radial stripes

Normally at the weekend I take my furry companion for two walks per day to the hippodrome where he has a good old chase of the rabbits and generally does his hunting thing - my friend being a poodle. Sadly for this weekend the hippodrome is closed - there are several horse races and they haven't opened it up between them - which is a shame unless you are a rabbit.

Instead we had to make do with a walk in town. We did the same loop twice, once in the morning and once again in the afternoon. In the morning we came out of an alleyway and a cocker spaniel decided to come over and see us - unfortunately crossing in a busy road while it's owner shouted in vain for it to stop... Thankfully the cars all stopped and I grabbed him when he arrived and held on until his owner arrived to recover him.

On my second walk we checked in on one the gardens my wife works on, and the gate was open, so we suspect someone has been pilfering unripe tomatoes again. The gardeners are a mix of unemployed and retired people living in social housing - so hardly rich people to start with - and people see fit to steal their fruit and vegetables. If the thieves could be bothered to wait, there will actually be more ripe fruit which they can have for free in a short while if they just ask for it.

In between the walks I battled with a some Mac Minis to get them to connect to a Raspberry Pi 4. My new friend Google Gemini, was helpful again. It made several statements I know to be false and had to correct it several times, but it was able to make several good suggestions which helped and as a result I was able to fettle the Macs into cooperation. Gemini can take normal English and understand the network topology you are describing and make useful insights I'd missed. If you don't know what you're doing it would be sending you off looking for rocking horse poo, or hen's teeth, but if you know enough to correct its errors it's better than a plan Google search landing you on some web page that may or may not be useful.

It's been another warm - but thankfully not hot day - so it's now time for a shower and to shutdown and think non computer thoughts.

Yes another flower from my mother-in-law's garden - I don't think I've done this one recently or possibly at all this year. There is quite a variety of flowers in the garden, but but furry friend isn't really interested in any of them.
