vintage buttons

I was going to pop into Leicester this morning but decided against it as I got interested in sewing. I found a pattern I’d been looking for and this beautiful red and white cotton poplin needed using. I made it into a summer top with short sleeves. It has 6 buttons down the front and these gorgeous pearlised ones are out of a load of buttons I inherited from my auntie Laurie. I shall sew them on tomorrow along with doing the buttonholes. She would be so pleased to know they were being used. Sorted out paying a couple of bills online and ordered some stuff I need to finish another blanket.
