Butt....

I've been moving this water butt around the house to see where it fits best. I think it might stay here.
The water butt by the garden shed leaked from day 1, but because of circumstances I didn't ask if it could be replaced (it was free from our water supplier about 4 years ago). The leak was only a few inches from the base so it was useless. I've had so much else going on in my life that I just ignored it until recently.
I sent an email to the water company a few months ago to tell them, expecting nothing after all this time. A few weeks later I received a lovely email to say they were no longer stocking them but they would see what they could do. 
Then I received another email to say they would send me a replacement in a few weeks. And they did! I told the man who cuts the lawns and he said he'd try to repair it. He's put some roof sealant on the outside and somehow also managed to do it on the inside as well. I've yet to test if it has worked! If it's waterproof I think I've found its new home.
