Common Sow Thistle

We had a lot of time out in the garden this afternoon. The Man cut the grass and I did some weeding.

It struck me as a bit odd that at one of our properties we're spending money and working to create a wildflower meadow and at the other we are struggling to keep up with pulling weeds out!

This fluffy thing caught my eye, I didn't know it was called a common sow thistle.
