Meadow Fritillary

Just an iPhone pic, so not the best quality. I hope I've id'd it correctly, I've never seen one before although it's reported as common. It was 'puddling' on the lakeshore down by the boat docks.

Serious weather predicted for tonight, although I think that the 4 inches of rain I was told to expect while I was out photographing the butterfly might be a bit of an exaggeration. I hope so anyway.
