How did that happen?

Sixty-five! How did that happen? I can’t quite believe I’m this old. Not sure I can call myself a pensioner because I am still one year and 5 months away from being able to receive the state pension.

We had a quiet day, L went out for a morning ride before her sister popped over with a present. We then had a late lunch at the Oakley Arms where they very kindly provided this surprise as a pudding. 

Mentally, I still feel the same as I did 40 years ago, though I’m not suggesting my mental acuity is the same. As for physical health I’m sure that for most of a similar age our aches and pains are now a reminder of advancing years.
