Tortoiseshell butterfly

It's been a gorgeous day - and there were butterflies visiting the garden. This one was enjoying the new hydrangea. We like to rescue 'last legs' plants at the garden centre, the poor plants that are reduced and in need of a little love and a lot of faith! This hydrangea surprised us, we didn't expect it to bloom this year but it's looking beautiful! The butterflies have definitely appreciated it :-)
