Green heron

Spent a couple of hours at the park, looking at birds. There was a seven year old (guessing) fishing by himself which I appreciated because we never seem to allow kids to do anything by themselves now.

This evening I did a lot of work on the proposal, which has me happy. Hopefully by the end of tomorrow we’ll have a first draft.

“Ukraine's military said on Saturday that it had struck oil facilities inside Russia, including a major refinery as well as a military airfield for drones and an electronics factory.”

Ok, so, the meeting in Alaska went about like we expected. At least we can enjoy that journalists asked Putin real questions. In Russia they can’t ask tough questions. In Alaska they could ask, “When will you stop killing civilians?” And “Why should Trump trust your words?” “Did you underestimate Ukraine?” Putin yelled over the reporters. In late March Zelensky said he was dying. He seemed to be wearing a heavy layer of makeup. He is rumored to have been treated for thyroid cancer.

Melanie wrote a letter to Putin that Trump gave. Him. It expressed concerns about children being taken from Ukraine. Supposedly she helped convince Trump to increase military support for Ukraine. In July at a press conference Trump said, “I go home, I tell the First Lady, ‘you know, I spoke to Vladimir today. We had a wonderful conversation.’ She said, ‘Oh, really? Another city was just hit.”

Because the US is not a signatory to the ICC we are not obligated to arrest Putin.

A Ukrainian company says it is developing a fiber-optic drone with a range of 100 km. Fiber-optic drones would be immune to electronic jamming.

A Russian Su-30SM fighter jet crashed into the Black Sea.
