Let sleeping dogs lie……

Once I’d been round everything this morning, managed to nip off to Peebles Show for a few hours. Mrs F and the 2 terrorists came along too. Met a few folk but didn’t really get a good look at the livestock as it was like baby sitting a couple of toddlers on leads !
Spotted these hounds chilling out from the Duke of Buccleuch’s hunt.
Also spotted these 2 tractors getting ready for the main ring I presume.
It just shows you how things have changed. The mower on the right was a KM22 drum mower which I learned to use while still at the school. It had a 5.5 ft cut.
The one on the left has a set of triple disc mowers with a tractor about 3 times the horse power and a cut of about 5 - 6 times the width. Makes you wonder how we ever managed ,but we still used to get there.
The last picture is of a Fiat tractor in the vintage section. I still have a soft spot for Fiats as my very first new tractor I drove on leaving school in 1982 was a Fiat 780 DT.
Home via Innerleithen for ice cream then off to bale 30 acres of nice hay at tea time.
So, not a bad day really…….
