Early morning plod
I was up early to get in my steps before heading home to go to Parkrun to cheer Ian on. It was nice and cool at 6:30am and I also got to enjoy the early morning sky.
Leo and I killed a bit of time at Parkrun by taking on the frisbee challenge before we headed to the finish line in time to cheer Ian over. As you can see from the extra, I didn’t win!
Then it was a mad dash home. We stopped off at McDonalds to pick up brunch and then Ian had a quick shower and turnaround as we had to leave at 11:15 for an early kick off. It was an enjoyable game but sadly finished with a loss for Exeter.
The Mansfield Town fans are great. They always come en masse and in great voice. It was hard not to sing along with them. My favourite is when they sing ‘We’re the Mansfield, The Mighty Mansfield, We always win away’ to the tune of the Lion Sleeps tonight. We have heard that a few times so they must like coming to SJP too!
We had shared a lift to the footie with my bellringing mate Richard so he dropped us off on the way home as Ian wanted to visit the fair at the CCA fields. Sally from the Ginger Pig Cake Shed had a stall there and he had booked a surprise goodie bag. We enjoyed a nice Mr Whippy ice cream whilst we were there and came back with a fabulous goodie bag. Ian and Leo have sampled a fair few already. If I am lucky I may manage to sample something, but probably by the time I fancy something, the lot will be gone!
Between all that activity I managed to rack up over 26k steps so was feeling a bit weary in the evening. So it was feet up to watch Man City v Wolves. I may not be too far off with my prediction of them to top and bottom the table after that match! And then it was an early night.
And his makes 4380 entries! So thank you my lovely blip friends for all your company over the years.
