Amber Waves of Grain
Well, they are not waving a the moment but the seed heads are forming on the wild grasses in my wee meadow and there is an amber look to them. The small birds will be happy. I usually have John cut it down in late September and let it lie on the ground for the birds to enjoy, Mourning doves especially. I don't know it that will happen this year and I may need to get my neighbor to cut it down. Another warm but not humid day before the temperatures really cool down. I will enjoy that.
