Picnic races
Picnic races were amateur horse races held in regional areas. They provided opportunities for second ranked horses and jockeys to compete and they were also grand social occasions. The Wamboyne races were an annual event near our dear friend Babb's property out in the central west of NSW. Like many country races they have fallen victim to crippling insurance costs and, latterly, to Covid.
The stickers are from some outback locations we have visited over the years.
