THE DAY AFTER

First of all THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR VERY LOVELY AND KIND WISHES FOR OUR GOLDEN  WEDDING YESTERDAY.  THEY ARE ALL VERY MUCH APPRECIATED AND LOVED.


Today is a quiet day.  It's too hot to do anything anyway.  So just pottering around this morning before it got too hot and now just chilling and carrying on with watching a daily episode of Sherlock Holmes.

We have been watching one a day for a while, starting with the Douglas Wilmer ones, then the amazing Peter Cushng, followed by the definitive Jeremy Brett.  All three actors were great.  Peter Cushing always has a special place for me because it was his portrayal that first introduced me to Holmes and I would sit and watch those episodes with my Dad.  This then encouraged me to get the books ouf the library and read them all.

Today's story was The Final Problem.  The definitive Holmes,  Watson, Moriarty, steam trains and Switzerland - perfect combination.

Oh this is a rose from the huge bouquet from Mum, Sister and her Rob.
