Listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Last weekend before Tooli heads back to Doha.
We spent the morning at the allotment. Tooli read, whilst I exhausted myself weeding and Si filled up all the water tanks, and made sure the mowers were all charged.
We picked Green Beans, Carrots, Radishes (the size of parnsips) Rocket and Lettuce.
In the afternoon we ran up to Glasgow for to partake in some shopping at the Silverburn Centre. Shoes, make up, Dried Fruit. Purchased and we headed back down the road, after a well deserved Macha and Berries, Flat White and Pistachio Latte.
I had a nap for 45 minutes, Tooli dozed in the chair, and Si watched the TV and then we headed out for dinner.
Choice of venue was Tempura. Where we secured the window seat. Joyous. We watched a 15 year old throw up on the street outside. The restaurant manager suggested sunstroke, we suggested Cider.
Once he washed it all away, and the 15 year old's mate came and unhooked him from the lamppost, we enjoyed our tempura very much. Si and Tooli had Filthy Tempura, I had King Prawn.
I rather, stupidly opted for Tempura Mars Bar for dessert, Never having had fried Mars Bar before.
Let me help you all out now. DO NOT NEVER HAVE FRIED MARS BAR.
I went from being pleasantly satiated, to being bloated, and choked up with caramel and tempura batter.
Rest of the meal was ace, as was the sunset. (See Extra). We did a full run round the town, much to Si's chagrin ... he was bursting for the loo.
But Tooli and I were enjoying the sunset too much to take much notice of his howling in the back seat. We even got out to enjoy it a little bit more up close and personal.
